We focus on French Riviera and Corsica marinas and ports that are ideal for charterers, offering convenient amenities such as restaurants and shops, rather than large commercial ports.
Port Hercule serves as the primary harbor of the principality of Monaco and is situated in the center of the city-state.This deep water port has 700 berths, with 30 set aside for visitors depending on availability at Quai des Etats-Unis and T central piscine. It features a semi-floating seawall that allows for the accommodation of large vessels up to 300 m and tonnage.
Website
The Fontvieille port is the smallest harbor in Monaco, located 1km from Port Hercule. It offers protection from winds and swells and features 275 berths, including 16 for visitors based on availability.
Website
The port of Nice hosts yachts, cruise ships traveling to Corsica, and traditional fishing vessels known as “Pointu.” 34 berths are reserved for yachts with a maximum length of 200 meters.
Website
Along with Monaco’s Port Hercule, Antibes’ Port Vauban is one of the few deep-sea ports capable of accommodating superyachts. Its renowned “Billionaires’ Quay” offers 18 berths for superyachts up to 160 meters in length. The charming old town, with its local restaurants, Picasso Museum, and popular bars (Blue Lady, Hope Store…) , is within easy walking distance.
Website
This 20-year-old marina offers all suitable amenities, featuring a fine array of restaurants, a small shipyard, and a superb view of the Lérins Islands and Cap d’Antibes area.
Website
Located at the end of la Croisette Boulevard, only 1Nm from the Lérins Islands, Port Canto underwent a complete renovation and can host yachts measuring up to 90m.
Website
The historic port of Cannes features 677 moorings for boats up to 140M (459’), including 69 specialized berths for superyachts. This harbor is located close to the Palais des Festivals and is within walking distance of nearby restaurants and the Le Suquet historical district. Please be aware that the old port of Cannes can be somewhat loud in the summer due to the nearby nightclub and specific events like Nuits Electroniques.
Website
The famous port of Saint-Tropez has restricted berthing choices in high season. Superyachts longer than 50 meters cannot be hosted.

The Euro (EUR or €) serves as the official currency of both France and Corsica. The majority of businesses, eateries, and stores take credit cards (VISA, EUROCARD, and MASTERCARD are broadly accepted; AMERICAN EXPRESS is not as frequent).
Our recommendation: always have some cash on hand for minor purchases and gratuities. Some restaurants do not accept American Express cards… Please be aware that charterers need to complete a cash declaration in advance to avoid a substantial fine and can carry a maximum of 10,000 euros in cash.
Bicycles, motorbikes, and scooters are commonly observed on roads, pedestrian crossings, and occasionally on sidewalks. They have legal authority and frequently disregard traffic signals…particularly in southern France.
Toll booths on highways might not accept credit cards from the U.S. For non-residents, the easiest method of payment is using cash euros at the designated toll lane for this purpose. Avoid using a credit card if it is the only one you possess, since the machine may not return it.
Priority rules: unless stated otherwise, vehicles approaching intersections from the right take precedence over those from the left, even when merging onto larger roads from smaller side streets.
Electrical outlets operate on 230V AC/50Hz and typically fit round two-prong plugs.
To prevent issues on your yacht, it’s recommended to confirm the standards with your charter broker or crew prior to your journey. Your captain will also supply electrical adapters to meet your requirements.
Dial 15 for emergency medical assistance or dial 112 to reach an operator.
Medical service: 15
Police: 17
Fire service: 18
Ambulance services are usually accessible, but numerous individuals do not speak English.
Large yachts come equipped with a safe in every cabin: always keep a copy of your prescription medication alongside your doctor’s prescription.
